My origins of gaming date back to cod2 with kar98k - that defines my gameplay
I’m mRK315, also known as Markus, the founder and leader of Prussia’s Glory. My journey in gaming started early, and over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for historical shooters and a strong belief in skill-based gameplay.
It all started when I was 11 years old with my first PC—an old machine from my uncle running Windows 98. I spent countless hours playing Age of Empires, The Settlers, and even Halo. Later, when I got a new PC for school, I discovered Star Wars Battlefront, Republic Commando, and Call of Duty 2—the game that truly shaped my multiplayer experience. Determined to take my gaming to the next level, I saved up money from delivering newspapers and finally bought my first real gaming PC. At the time, it was a powerhouse: Intel Q6600 and NVIDIA 8800 GTX, a state-of-the-art system for €1000.
Battlefield isn't about flashy skins or overpowered weapons—it's about skill, strategy, and the raw intensity of war. That's why I stick to Battlefield 1, the last true Battlefield.

My first true multiplayer FPS was Call of Duty 2, where I played mainly with the Karabiner 98k. The precision and challenge of bolt-action rifles quickly became my favorite playstyle. When Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare launched, I took things seriously—grinding in the ESL competitive scene with the PAM-4 and Promod mods. However, as Call of Duty declined, I sought a new home and found it in Battlefield 3. Since then, I have played every Battlefield game up to Battlefield V—but when Battlefield 2042 was released, I made the conscious decision to boycott it, as it no longer represented the true Battlefield experience.

I play historically inspired loadouts whenever possible. In Battlefield 1, that means using straight-pull bolt-action rifles. Since I had already mastered the Kar98 in CoD2, I naturally gravitated toward the Gewehr 98 Infantry with iron sights in BF1.
I actively avoid META weapons because I believe they take the challenge out of the game. Exploiting overpowered mechanics has never appealed to me—I’d rather win through pure skill than by abusing an easy playstyle.
My technique is a blend of point-aiming and strafe-aiming, a skillset I honed back in my CoD2 days. I combine my Gewehr 98 with a sidearm to finish off enemies when necessary. I favor low rate-of-fire weapons with high damage and precision, as they reward accuracy and positioning rather than spamming bullets.
I firmly believe that the golden era of FPS gaming is long gone. With Call of Duty 4 in 2007, the introduction of perks gave players unfair advantages that compensated for a lack of actual skill. Unfortunately, this trend has seeped into other franchises, including Battlefield—though to a lesser extent.
One of the biggest blows to true Battlefield fans was the shift towards cosmetic monetization. Instead of historical authenticity, we now have clowns and neon-colored agents running around the battlefield. Financially, EA made the right move by appealing to the massive Call of Duty audience, but for Battlefield purists, Battlefield V was the final nail in the coffin.
I hold on to Battlefield 1, my favorite installment, as the last true Battlefield game. My goal is to build and maintain a strong, dedicated community that values skill, teamwork, and the essence of what Battlefield used to be.
